If an asteroid is headed toward colliding with the Earth, NASA plans to send a Spacecraft to collide with the asteroid and knock it off its course. It sounds like science fiction, So can it really happen?

They sent their spacecraft to a huge asteroid and the orbit of the asteroid was successfully changed. So in the future, perhaps we won’t have to worry about it Because this plan might work.
Here’s another opportunity to mine the asteroids. There’s more than rock and ice on asteroids, there’s an abundance of metals such as gold, platinum, nickel, and iron. They are so abundant that if we can get them back to earth and use them, it’ll be highly beneficial.
